Impermeability A waterproof upper
combined with the appropriate padding and
lining ensures that water stays out of the
boots. Waxing or conditioning the upper with
an appropriated product will improve the water
repellence.
Thermal insulation On high mountain
or for winter outdoor activity boots the
padding material together with an appropriate
lining such as Thinsulate™® will ensure
that the cold does not penetrate and the foot
remains warm.
